Opal M. Junkins

Opal M Junkins, age 94, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at The Manor of Perrysburg. She was born on August 7, 1923 in West Virginia to Robert and Emma Maples. Opal was a homemaker who had a strong faith in the lord. She had a passion for reading and enjoyed gardening and had love for all animals. Opal is survived by her sons, Charles Jr. (Cheryl) and Daniel; daughters, Sandy Harden and Sonya (Bob) Lord; four grandchildren; great granddaughter, Kyla and other great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Charles and aunt, Elsie Treece (whom she always considered a sister.) The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at the Manor of Perrysburg for all their loving care and support for Opal over the years. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home , 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 2pm until the time of the service at 6 pm. Interment will take place in Russelville, Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or The Toledo Animal Shelter.
