Olga Moussa Doumet

Olga Moussa Doumet, born on September 17, 1929 in Safita, Syria, went to sleep in the presence of the Lord on December 5, 2014 in Sylvania, Ohio. Olga was a loving wife, daughter, mother, and grandmother, and will always be remembered for her enthusiastic spirit in life and for her love and dedication to the Lord.  Above all else, she loved her family, and lived her life in service to them.  She will be terribly missed, and she leaves us with many warm memories to hold in our hearts forever. Olga is preceded in death by her son, Ibrahim Doumet, her parents, Hanna and Saliba Moussa,  and her brother, Hani and sisters, Henriette and Hind.  She is survived by her husband, Nicholas Doumet, daughters, Dr. Salam (Nageeb) Swade and Dr. Jamila (George) Heraiz, her son, Dr. Mahdi (Bushra) Doumet, her daughter In law, Ferial Doumet, her brother, Elias and sisters, Mona and Ektemal, and nine grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held at St. Elias Antiochian Orthodox Church, 4940 Harroun Road, on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 12:30 PM, preceded by calling hours with Olga’s family from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, Olga’s family requests memorial donations are made to St. Elias, to be forwarded to St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Safita, Syria, as per Olga’s wishes.
