Odilia “Odie” Villarreal Ramirez passed away on Valentine’s Day, 2017. She was born in Nuevo Leon, Mexico on January 25, 1932, to Marcos and Carolina Villarreal Gonzalez. She was adopted and raised by Ubaldo and Manuela Villarreal. Preceded in death by her former husband Salvador Ramirez, she is survived and will be missed by her four boys and their families: Sam Ramirez (Nina Quinones), Bongo Ramirez, David Ramirez (Diana Salenski) and Gilbert Ramirez. She was preceded in death by her brothers Olivero Gonzalez, Fernan Becerra, Felix Becerra, and sisters Olivia Grande, Ophelia Salinas, Floripa Cardona, and Juanita Eureste. She is survived by sisters Oralia Yslas, Margaret Valle and brothers Basilio Gonzalez and Lauro Becerra. She was a loving grandmother to Jessica, Tony, Stephanie, Leticia, Samantha, Mariah, Alejandro and Lila, as well as numerous great grandchildren. A life-long resident of Genoa, OH, “Odie” worked for nearly 30 years before retiring from Atlas Industries. She enjoyed cooking, working crosswords and spoiling her grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the caring staff of the Gibsonburg and Genoa Retirement homes for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, Ohio 43551. Visitation is scheduled for 2-8 p.m. on Friday, February 17 at the Walker-Robinson Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes church 204 S. Main St., Genoa, Ohio. Interment will be at a later date at the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa.
