Norman F. Sattler

April 8, 1928 — February 2, 2009

Norman F. Sattler, age 80, of Maumee, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2009, in his home. Norm was born in Wood County on April 8, 1928, to Aloysius and Cecilia Boellner Sattler. Norm was employed as a glass worker at LOF for 30 years retiring in 1978. Norm was an Army veteran of the Korean War and recipient of the Purple Heart. His memberships included D. A. V. where he was a life member, Adams Conservation Club, the Manch Association- Korean War Branch. He is survived by his sons, Mark Corrine, Daniel, Steven Debbie Sattler and four grandchildren, Michael, Jennifer, Andrew and Jonathan. Also surviving are brothers, Vincent Ruth, Lavern Juanita and Charles Nancy Sattler and sister-in-law, Alice Sattler. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald. Friends may call at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee on Thursday, February 5, 2009 from 3-8 PM where funeral service will begin on Friday at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Church in Maumee. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, Maumee or The Disabled Veterans of America.
