Norman Raymond Kujawa

Norman Raymond Kujawa, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born January 5, 1941, in Toledo to the late Walter and Alice (Stelmazak) Kujawa. Norm graduated from Macomber High School in 1959 where he played on the golf team and was voted MVP in his Senior season. He went on to serve in the United States Navy from 1959-63. He worked as a Merchant Service Officer for 37 years at several local financial institutions, retiring from 5/3 Bank. Norm was a scratch golfer and played all over the United States including every course in the State of Michigan. His skill allowed him to start a side job of making golf clubs which he did for himself and many others. He loved the outdoors including fishing, travel, camping, and hunting pheasant and rabbit. Norm was a generous, kindhearted, intelligent man who did things “Norm’s Way”. He also cherished his dogs, Jozee I and II. Norm is lovingly survived by his children, Bridget (Ron) Tate; Matt (Myrna) Fellers; Andrea (Derek Leck) Ohrt; Renee (Mathew) Kalmbach; and Patrick (Suzanne Hamilton) Kujawa; grandchildren, Kristin, Ryan, Shane, Brandy, Keller, Kamden, Emma, Jack, Leland, Piper, Taitem, Kristina, Alicia, Justin, Connor, and Simon; seven great grandchildren; siblings, Kenneth (Sharon) Kujawa and Charlene (Steve) Walenczak; and dear friend, Steve Elliot. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nida J. (Alspaugh) Kujawa in 2008; and grandson, Michael R. Tate. Norm will be privately laid to rest with his wife at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Military honors will be provided by the U.S. Navy. Family and friends are invited to visit the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, beginning at 3:00 p.m. and concluding with a Final Round Farewell at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Norm’s name to the Richfield Township Fire Department or the Toledo Junior Golf Association.
