KLOPPING NORMAN C. Norman C. Klopping age 87 formerly of Toledo passed away Sunday, November 30, 2008 in Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay, Ohio. He was born in Toledo on November 25, 1921 to Milton and Mayme Metz Klopping. After graduating from DeVilbiss High School, Norm enlisted into the Army and served in the European Theater of World War II. He received his Mechanical Engineering degree from The University of Toledo. He was employed by Kent Moore Royal Oak, MI and Dresser Industries formerly SK Wayne Defiance, OH. Norm was a member of the Defiance Chamber of Commerce, Barton Smith Masonic Lodge, and the Zenobia Shriners. Norm married Eleanore Krajewski on January 8, 1949 and together they had four children. He enjoyed his grandchildren, golfing, gardening, sailing, fishing, and was an avid card player. Norm is preceded in death by his wife Eleanore, sister Ethel, and brothers Harold and Glenn Klopping. He is survived by sons Kim Lori, Jeff Inge and Mark Hether Klopping; daughter Kathleen Frank Turano; grandchildren Brent Melissa Knipp, Holly Binh Nguyen Knipp, Danielle Matt Sprague, Dustin Klopping, Jason Klopping, Karley Klopping, Haley Klopping and Noah Klopping; and great-grandchildren Alexander Nguyen and Landon Knipp. Friends may call at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave, west of Corey on December 21 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 5 p.m. on the 21st. Interment will be private. The family suggests memorials to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Peace Lutheran Church, Bowling Green, Ohio, 43402 or to the charity of your choice.
