Norma C. Allen

Norma C. Allen, 91 , of Port Clinton, OH, passed away, Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Edgewood Manor Nursing Center, surrounded by her loving family. Norma was born on March 17, 1925, in Cleveland, OH, the daughter of, Waldemar “Red” and Emily (Luekens) Schmidt. She worked as a dental assistant and was a real estate broker until her retirement in 2001. Norma was a member of Peace Lutheran Church, sang in the church choir and was a past member of the Sara Circle. She loved to read, sewing and ceramics. But she especially loved spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory are: Children: Pat (Jim) Wendt, David (Sharon) Allen, Barb (Terry) Warren, Doug (Joy) Allen and Mary Beth (John) DeGrisky; 9 Grandchildren and 07 Great-Grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Elizabeth Kundtz and brother: Richard Schmidt. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor Tony Setley at 11:30am, Friday, June 17, 2016 at Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St, Port Clinton, OH, with friends and family welcome for visitation from 10:30am until time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Norma, may be given to Peace Lutheran Church or Ida Rupp Public Library, 310 Madison St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
