Norbert Eugene Monak

Norbert Eugene Monak, 82, of Marblehead, OH, passed away, Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, OH, surrounded by his loving family. Norb was born December 04, 1934, in Marblehead, OH, the son of Michael W. and Mary I. “Lena” (Boytim) Monak. On June 30, 1987 in Sandusky, OH, he married Patricia Lucas and she survives. Norb was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He worked for the U.S. Gypsum Co., Standard Products and a life long painter. Norb was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, OH. He cherished his family and friends and will be greatly missed. Left to cherish his memory: Loving Wife: Patricia Monak, Children: Susan (Tristan) Yeats, Michael Monak, Danise Adkins, Regina (Daniel) Miller, Robert (Tiffany) Monak, Shelli (Brad) Kasper, Heather (Jim) Mooney and Peter (Taryn) Tietjen; 18 Grandchildren and 10 Great-Grandchildren and special nephew: Craig Kukay. Norb was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother: Michael Monak, infant sister: Patsy Monak, sister: Lucille Kukay, brothers: Kenneth Monak, Edmund Monak and Melvin Monak. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00AM, Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 802 Barclay Street, Marblehead, OH 43440, followed by interment in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Joseph Catholic Church. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH, assisted the family with arrangements.
