Norbert “Nobby” H. Goetz, 84, of Rocky Ridge, died Wednesday evening, October 17, 2018, at Heartland of Oregon. Norbert was born April 23, 1934, in Oak Harbor, Ohio, to William F. and Elnore F. (Fillmore) Goetz. On July 7, 1979, in Rocky Ridge, Ohio, he married Brenda Folk and she survives. He worked for Foremetal in Oak Harbor for 43 years, retiring in 1996. Norbert was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Rocky Ridge and many years ago was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 333. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Euchre. In addition to his loving wife of 39 years, Brenda, Norbert is survived by his sons, Steven A. Goetz and Ricky (Sharon) L. Goetz, both of Rocky Ridge; sister-in-law, Sandra Goetz; grandchildren, Jason Goetz, Jennifer (Tim) Polter, Staci Mariscal and Jeff (Jennifer) Marshall; 11 great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Vernell, Harry, Leon, Virgil, Oswald and Vernon, infant brother, Harry Goetz, sisters, Virginia Hodges and Violet Floriana and infant sisters, Velma and Vera Goetz. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor, where the funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 25, 2018. Burial will take place in Elliston Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Organ Fund at St. John Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 69, Rocky Ridge, OH 43458.
