Nora Evelyn Lawley-Lofton

Nora Evelyn Lawley-Lofton, 76, of Port Clinton, went home to be with the Lord, Saturday, May28, 2016. She was born October 17, 1939 in Point Pleasant, WV, the daughter of the late Thelma Marie (Logan) and Ezra Monroe Wamsley, Sr. She married Leonard Avery Lawley and he preceded her in death on April 16, 1989. On May 31, 1991, Nora married Stewart Lofton, and he survives. Nora was a homemaker and had worked for the Port Clinton Comfort Inn and Hymiler. She was a member of Erie Shores Assembly of God, Port Clinton. She enjoyed reading, working on her puzzle books and watching old movies. Nora is survived by her 2nd husband; daughters: Karen Marquez & Annette Carter; son: Chris (Debbie) Lawley; grandchildren: Jaime Kohlman, Jeremy Carter, Andrew Lawley, Lorin Zippay, Jason Carter, & Brooke Lawley; great grandchildren: Casen, Kennedy, Leland, Chezny, Coupe, Chayce sisters: Greetis Lawley & Marie Doctor; brothers: Henry, Gary & Danny Wamsley; sisters-in-law: Edna Wamsley & Mary “Peg” Wamsley. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, parents, and brothers: Ezra Jr., Charles & John Wamsly. Visitation will be 10am -11am, Friday, June 3, 2016 at Erie Shores Assembly of God, 220 S Gill Rd., Port Clinton, OH; followed by the funeral service at 11am. Interment will be in the Catawba Island Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Nora, may be given to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Gerner-Wolf-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Port Clinton, OH assisted the family with arrangements.
