Nolan Stobinski, a lifelong Sylvania area resident and graduate of Sylvania Northview High School, passed away on January 4, 2026, at the age of 35.
Born on March 3, 1990, to Ernest Stobinski and Tracy Bueche, Nolan was a man of rare intellectual curiosity and artistic depth. He was a true self-starter, driven by a desire to understand the complexities of human history and culture. This drive led him to teach himself to read and write Sanskrit and to develop an expert-level fascination with ancient Egypt.
Nolan's appreciation for the world was reflected in the things he surrounded himself with. He had a refined eye for beauty and craftsmanship, specifically seeking out gold, unique glassware, and antiques. This artistic ability extended to his own hands; he was a talented jewelry maker and enjoyed cooking.
More than his hobbies, Nolan will be remembered for his character. He possessed a genuinely open mind, finding beauty in different religions and cultural traditions. Along with his knowledge of the world he enjoyed making people laugh with his sense of humor.
Nolan is survived by his parents, Ernest (Lynn) Stobinski and Tracy Bueche and his sisters Elle and Jennifer Stobinski (Jonathan Horning).
