Nicole Jones

Nicole Denise Jones, affectionately known as NeNe, tragically passed away on April 19, 2023, in her place of birth, Toledo, Ohio. Born on September 2, 1969, Nicole lived most of her life in Toledo and cherished her hometown.

Nicole had a zest for life and enjoyed various hobbies, including fairy gardens, doting on her beloved nieces and nephew, and being dedicated to her prayer group. She loved bloody Mary’s and recreating family recipes. She especially enjoyed making Christmas cookies with her family. Among her favorite memories are taking family cruises and she enjoyed spending time with her family in Marco Island.

When it came to entertainment, Nicole thoroughly enjoyed music, with Prince being one of her favorites. She loved Purple Rain and made it the soundtrack to her life. She was fond of Bon Jovi and can be remembered listing to music while driving around town. She also enjoyed doing word puzzles while drinking her morning coffee.

She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy and worked as a phlebotomist with Toledo Hospital. In recent years, she enjoyed time at home and was kind neighbor and loyal friend to many.

Nicole will join her mother Mary Lynne Jones nee Schoen in heaven and will be dearly missed by her father Robert Jones and siblings Andrea Persico nee Jones, Robert Jones, as well her nieces, Katelyn, Madison, Alexandra, and her nephew Vincent, who brought immense joy and love into her life. Her warm and caring nature, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.

As we say goodbye to Nicole Jones, let us celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind and hold them close to our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace.

The funeral procession will begin at 9 am on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, followed by Mass at 10 am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5373 Main St, Sylvania, OH 43560.

Flowers can be sent to Walker Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association
