Nicola Ibrahim Doumet, born on October 22, 1925 in Safita, Syria, went to sleep in the presence of the Lord on April 6, 2016, in Sylvania, Ohio. Nicola was a family man, and a proud husband, father, and grandfather. Some of his happiest days were spent gathered around with family, telling stories and laughing, and we will always remember his smiling face and warm heart. He loved his job as a custom tailor when he was in Syria. He was strong in faith, and the traditions he instilled in his family will live on for many generations to come. Nicola joins his wife of over 60 years Olga, son Ibrahim, parents Ibrahim and Wahiba, and his brother Caissar amongst the angels. His memory lives on amongst his son Dr. Mahdi (Bouchra) Doumet and daughters Dr. Salam (Nageeb) Swade and Dr. Jamila (George) Heraiz, his daughter-in-law Ferial Nahhas Doumet, his nephews Gorki Doumit and Munzer Doumit in Brazil, nine grandchildren, and one great granddaughter.
