Nicholas Nick Alexander Wohn III, born November 23, 1943, and from Genoa, Ohio, passed away on May 10, 2019, in the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Nick was married to Dianne L. Thornton, his high school sweetheart, for the past 55 years. He was born to the late Nicholas and Velma (Heilman) Wohn Jr. He is survived by his wife, Dianne; daughter, Sandra Ellaneous (Dominic Santistevan) of Albuquerque; son, Nicholas (Maria) of Genoa; grandchildren, Lisa, Frank, Daniel, Nicholas (Toni), Luke, Alex; 12 great grandchildren; sisters, Margie (Joe) Kill of Millbury, Ann (Bill) Reisner, of Whitehouse; brother, John (Adrienne) of Austin TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Kathleen Greifendorf and her daughter, Andrea; and nephew, Aaron Reisner. Nick retired from Libbey-Owens-Ford. He loved his family and was the keeper of family lore and ancestry facts. He especially enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. To call him “one of a kind” would be an understatement, as his style of humor and outlook on life was unique, uttering jokes right up to the end. Abiding with Nick’s final wishes there will be no visitation or services. Nick’s immediate family will gather for a life celebration at a later date to talk about the old days and wish each other Happy Horse Sh*t in his honor. The family invites donations in Nick’s name to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, 30000 E. River Rd., Perrysburg, OH 43551. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory of Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements.
