Nicholas Prebeg

Nicholas Prebeg Sr. age 84 of Ft. Wayne, IN formerly of Maumee, OH passed away peacefully on Monday, July 14, 2014 in his home surrounded by his family. Nick was born in Shadyside, OH on December 18, 1929 to Nick and Mary (Koschal) Prebeg. Nick was employed at several car dealerships in the Toledo area including Nollenberger Ford and Maumee Lincoln Mercury. He was also employed at the Allen County Prosecutors Office. Earlier in his career, he owned and operated his own detective agency. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and neighbor to many. He will be remembered for his love for his family, animals, gardening and his willingness to give advice. Nick is survived by his wife, Paulette; children, Tracey (Joe) King, Robin (David) Henderson, Nick J. Prebeg, Victor (Diane) Prebeg; grandchildren, Mandy (Jeff) Ienna, Faith Merritt, Christian C.J (Paige) Haas; great-grandchildren, Greydon Ienna, Clementine Ienna and Christian Workman. Also surviving are his feline faithful companions, Rebel and Shadow. In addition to his parents, Nick was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Barbara (Cook) Prebeg; daughter, Patience Prebeg Haas; brothers, Joseph and Frank Prebeg and his cat, Max. Family and friends will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St., Maumee on Thursday, July 17, 2014 from 3-8 pm. Additional visitation will continue on Friday morning from 10:00 am followed by a funeral procession at 11:00 am to Riverside Cemetery, Maumee.
