Nicholas “Nick” Aaron Giachetti, 73, passed away suddenly but peacefully on October 15, 2025.

Born on April 21, 1952, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, Nick was the eldest of three children born to Janet and Patsy Giachetti. He grew up alongside his brother, Ron, and sister, Jackie.

Nick graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Culinary Business Management and went on to help manage several hotels and restaurants in Alabama and Georgia. Eventually, he returned to Cleveland, Ohio, to join his father in the family insurance business, where he built a long and successful career in health and life insurance spanning nearly 35 years.

Nick met his wife, Lynn, at the gym while giving racquetball lessons. The two married in 1987 and raised two children together.

Nick will be remembered for his strong character, sharp wit, and the lasting impression he made on everyone he met. He was a devoted provider, father, friend, and someone who could always be counted on to lend a helping hand. An avid outdoorsman, Nick loved fishing and hunting, and he was deeply involved in several conservation and hunting clubs. His presence, humor, and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his son, Ian, and daughter, Lauren, and was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial and celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Please check the funeral home website for details.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Oak Harbor Conservation Club or Ducks Unlimited, two organizations close to Nick’s heart.
