Nicholas Chase

Nicholas K. Chase Jr., age 85, of Walbridge passed away February 25, 2016. Nick’s parents were Nicholas K. Chase Sr. and Esta Arnold Chase. Nick graduated from Lake High School in 1947. He attended two years of college at B.G.S.U. He was employed with Sun Oil Refinery, retiring in 1987. Nick was a master mechanic, electrician, and welder at Sun Oil and he was also a master bullshitter. Nick married Betty Jean Roth in 1954 and she passed away in 1967. My father was the proudest of keeping his family together and raising his kids by himself. He was a wonderful father and friend. He was a kind, even tempered fun loving, and had a young at heart personality. Nick’s interests were duck hunting, traveling, the stock market, motorcycles and the family pets. Nick is survived by his three children: Robert (Rebecca) Chase, James (Tonya) Chase, and Cathy (Robert) Chase-Laub, and his 90 year old sister: Margaret Chase Davies. Nick wished to have his funeral service private. He will be buried at Lake Twp. Cemetery on Tuesday March 1, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.
