Nelson W. Lenz

Nelson W. Lenz, 91, of Genoa, died Monday, August 18, 2008, in Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, Ohio. Nelson was born August 10, 1917, in Genoa, Ohio, to Otto and Anna Buhrow Lenz. Nelson was a lifetime farmer where he worked on the family farm. Survivors include his sister, Joanne Kettelle of Malvern, PA, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Lenz of Genoa. Also surviving are nieces and nephews: Bruce Besty Kettelle, Martha Michael Sousa, Rebecca Gerald Pyne, Priscilla John Fosnocht, John III Susan Kettelle, Jennifer Blum, Jack Virginia Lenz, Linda Richard Fiore, Terry Otto Lenz, Daniel Heidi Lenz, and Lois Dean Humberger; grand nieces and nephews, Melissa Burke; Eric, Corey, Ana and Jarod Lenz, Colleen and Amanda Tracey, Jeremiah Jaber; Zachary, Seth and Cole Humberger, Whitney, Rachel and Shawn Sousa, Kevin, Kyle and Caitlin Pyne, Emilie and Anne Fosnocht, John IV and Hannah Kettelle, Elizabeth, Joshua and Benjamin Blum; great grandnieces, Shannon and Madison Burke. Nelson is also survived by his first cousins Clara Schell and Leonard Bud Buhrow. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Walter, Otto and Donald Lenz, and sister, Alice Lenz. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 22, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday August 23, 2008, in the funeral home with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions for Nelson may be directed to the Allen-Clay Joint Fire Dist. #3, Genoa.
