Nelda F. Wise

Nelda F. Wise, 86, of Oregon, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022. She was born in Russellville, KY on July 23, 1935, to Carley C. and Ella H. (Porter) Orange.  Nelda had a talent for needlepoint and especially enjoyed the Hungarian style.  She was part of the Hungarian Needlepoint Club on the East side and loved going to garage sales. She and her husband both enjoyed finding wooden furniture to refinish and bring back to life.

She is survived by her son, Joseph (Steven Glynn) Wise; grandson, Jeffrey Wise; great-grandson, Jeffrey Wise, Jr. daughter-in-law; siblings, Marion Orange, Michael (Barbara) Orange; sister-in-law, Heidi Orange; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Wise; son, Jeffrey E. (Veronica “Red”) Wise; siblings, Betty Jo (Jack) Dechristopher, Whitey Orange; sister-in-law, Lynda Orange; and parents.

Friends and family may gather on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, from 2-8 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home – Oregon, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH 43616. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Oakwood Cemetery 8551 Brown Rd., Curtice, OH.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
