Nekita Watkins Adams, 27, died at 9:44am on June 1, 2009 in Toledo, OH. She was born June 3, 1981 in Lima, OH to Lizzie and Andrew Watkins, III. She married on Jan. 1, 2002 to James Adams who joined her in death. Mrs. Adams was a traveling surgical tech such places as Phoenix, California, Indianapolis, and Miami. She was finishing R.N. school. Survivors include sons, James S. Adams age 8 and Keitron D. Adams age 5 of Toledo, OH; mother, Lizzie Watkins of Ft. Wayne, IN; two step-mothers, Tracy Flowers and Daphonie Duncan; four brothers, Andrew Watkins, Rossando McClellan, Shawn Flowers, and Damon Watkins; sister, Elena Duncan; two special brothers, Leon Sullivan and Stacy Jones of Ft. Wayne, IN; special aunts, Renee McClellan and Doris E. Watkins; special friends, Lesslie Nelson and Nikki; special cousins, Shantel and Tammy McClellan, Glenda Watkins, and Taylor McClellan; 7 nieces and 13 nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Bug Watkins, III; paternal grandparents, Florence and Andrew Watkins, Jr.; maternal grandparents, Virginia and James McClellan; and aunts and uncles. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Greater Spirit of Love Church, 6116 S. Calhoun St., Ft. Wayne, IN from 11:00am until the time of service at 12:00 noon.
