Ned L. Zeigler, 94, of Perrysburg, passed away December 18, 2017 in Florida, surrounded by his loving family. Ned was born May 16, 1923 in Toledo, Ohio to Harry F. and Dora E. (Farmer) Zeigler. He served our Country as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy in WWII and the Korean War. Ned earned his bachelor’s degree from Marquette University in electrical engineering. He married Ann Snare on November 27, 1954 and she preceded him in death in 2006. Ned was a salesman for Westinghouse for 38 years, and continued to work in industrial sales into his eighties. He was a life member of the IEEE. Ned was a longtime member of Park Congregational Church. As a proud veteran, he was a member of the American Legion Post 335 and the Korean War Veterans Association. He shared his fascination with history by taking his family to many historical locations and national parks. Their yearly family vacations took them all over the USA. Ned was an all-around handyman and enjoyed working on his children's homes. He was a good driver until his final days and drove all over the country visiting his family and friends. Recently he was asked what his proudest achievement was and he said "raising four wonderful children." He is survived by his children; Susan Zeigler, John (Ann) Zeigler, Alan (Wylie) Zeigler and Beth (Tom Flattery) Zeigler; grandchildren, Meghan, Sarah, Bailey and Clay Zeigler and sister, Lois (Sam) Billig. Friends will be received January 4, 2018 from 4-8 p.m. at Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary Street, Perrysburg (419-874-3133). A Memorial Service will be held January 5, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Park Congregational Church, 1456 Harvard Blvd., Toledo, OH 43614. Memorial contributions may be made in Ned’s name to Park Congregational Church. Burial will be private. Condolences may be made online to the family at www.witzlershank.com.
