Ned Miklovic

Ned Eugene Miklovic, 88, died December 31, 2025. He was born to August (Gus) and Mary Mikovic on August 22,1937 in North Baltimore, Ohio. Ned was a star high school athlete and continued his athletic career at the University of Toledo, where he was co-captain of both the basketball and the football teams. In 1993, Ned was inducted into the UT Athletic Hall of Fame.

Upon graduation, he married his college sweetheart, Louise (Cox), and they enjoyed 65 years of marriage. They enjoyed bicycling, running and traveling together. His care and love for her continued until his death.

Ned's career brought him to several different cities and companies. He worked in marketing and sales, including jobs in the medical, investment and insurance industries. The highlight of his career was being executive vice president for National Family Opinion in Toledo. Throughout his career, he was known for being a man of hard work and high principles.

Together, Ned and Louise raised 3 children, who survive him: Deanne (Bob) Hyneman, Matthew (Adrienne) Miklovic, and Staci (Jim) Kissel.

Ned is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and they were the great joy of his life. Ned and Louise dedicated themselves to being excellent grandparents and loved spending time with each of their grandkids. Their grandchildren will treasure their many memories with Grandpa Ned: Nathan Miklovic (Bryce), Hannah Kissel-Smith (Jacob), Audrey Bayly (Ben), Louise Vargas (Joey), Everett Kissel, Jack Hyneman (Amanda-fiance), Isaac Miklovic (Amelia), Calvin Miklovic (Abigail), Luther Miklovic and Tessa Miklovic. His legacy also continues in his 15 great-grandchildren: Virgina, Benaiah, Daisy, Gideon, Cyrus, Meadow, Matilda, Judson, Flynn, Jack, Gabriel, Joseph, Charlotte, Cooper (Ned), and August. Ned is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and August, and his brother Jack. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Paula Miklovic, and nephews Jeff (Sue) and Ron Miklovic.

Ned was a proud member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at Toledo University. Ned and Louise remained close to their college friends throughout their lifetime, enjoying UT sporting events, vacations, and many meals together.

Visitation will be at Walker Funeral Home on January 12 from 1-2 pm. A memorial service will begin at 2pm.
