Neal Arthur Bosch

Sep 14, 1953 — Jun 7, 2026

A beloved husband, father, colleague, and friend, Neal Arthur Bosch, aged 72, passed away after a short and unexpected hospitalization at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center on June 7th, 2026.

Born in Toledo, Ohio on September 14th, 1953 to Robert Anthony and Jeanne Marie Bosch, he was a 1971 graduate (and proud Aqua-Knight) of St. Francis de Sales High School and a 1977 graduate of the University of Toledo. He was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity, a brotherhood from which he found both many lifelong friends as well as the love of his life and wife of nearly 45 years, Lori Beth (Forquer) Bosch, whom he married on June 12th, 1981.

Neal had many qualities that made people gravitate to him, and he always attempted to see the best in every situation and person with whom he interacted. His devoted nature led him to a 50-year career with DuPont (and later, through acquisition, Axalta Coatings) starting in the Tremainsville Rd. Plant during college and moving through the ranks of sales and operations to his final position of Senior Executive Sales Manager overseeing the sales of industrial and commercial paint and coatings throughout the United States. His work took him across the country and globe, and made impacts on the daily lives of almost everyone, selling and ensuring the formulation and manufacture of paint that has been used on every football helmet seen on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, any bus and many cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and postal vehicles, as well as snowmobiles, ATVs, jet skis, and amusement park rides that bring joy to people throughout the US, on top of countless other products seen in daily life. He loved his career and all of the people he met and worked with along the way, and he proved that to them daily. Neal was always willing to help, regardless of if it helped him or not, a quality that he passed onto many who interacted with him.

While he was proud of his career, everything pales in comparison to the pride he had in his family. He is survived by, Lori, the wife with which he shared numerous vacations, soccer tournament road trips, pizza nights, ice cream runs, and on very rare occasions a "discussion" about mobile games. Lori and Neal were able to welcome two children into this world as well, Brandon Michael and Bryan Thomas, both of whom loved their father dearly and continue to try to model what made him great every day. With a travel territory encompassing thousands of miles, Neal never missed a sporting event, honors breakfast, birthday, or conversation regardless of how far he had to drive to get there, and it is something for which his sons will be forever thankful. Here's hoping he can catch a few rounds of golf now soon.

Over the years their family expanded, and with that, more pride and love came to their daughters-in-law, Sarah (Benbow) and Tiffany (Scott), and eventually, to the brightest lights of Neal and Lori's retired lives, three incredible grandchildren: Cameron and Norah, and Sylvia. While there is a void in all of their hearts from the loss of his love, affection, support, and presence (along with the random pocket dials) that Neal provided, they are all forever grateful for the time they shared with him. Neal is also survived by his brother, Keith (Rose) Bosch, his sister, Claudia Gall, and many nieces and nephews for whom he loved.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony is being held at 11:00am on August 8th, 2026 at the Toledo Club (235 14th St, Toledo, OH) followed immediately after by a lunch reception in order to allow all of those whose lives were touched by Neal to recognize his impact on our world.

Neal's family asks all to honor his legacy in a few ways. First, to any parents, do whatever you can to get to the soccer game, dance recital, awards banquet, or Sunday dinner. Just as he did when he drove 16 hours straight to see one of his son's final basketball games, always find a reason to be there, not an excuse to miss it. It may not seem like a huge accomplishment, but your kids will remember when the time comes.

Second, ask someone new how their day is every day, whether it be a neighbor who can become a great friend or a person in the grocery store who just looks like they need a pick me up. You truly never know the power you have to improve someone's life if you don't choose to use it.

In addition, the family has established the Neal Arthur Bosch Legacy Fund as a means to provide STEM educational support to students in Toledo. Any donations provided will directly support educational expenses and after-school programs at Toledo Technology Academy of Engineering. Donations can be made through the Greater Toledo Community Foundation by visiting the fund's website (https://toledocf.fcsuite.com/erp/donate/create/fund?funit_id=11626) or searching for the fund by name on their website.

The family would also like to send heartfelt thanks to the medical staff of the Cardiac and Pulmonary Critical Care Unit at Mercy St. Vincent's Medical Center. Your hard work, caring support, and fearless motivation in your attempt to help our father and husband heal went a long way in helping his family know we were all in great hands. We are and will continue to be inspired by the work you do to help those in their time of greatest need.

Love You Neal/Dad/Grandpa/Boppi and Thank You.
