Nathaniel Sean Beebe

April 19, 1979 — August 4, 2021

Nathaniel Sean “Nate” Beebe, age 42, of Toledo, passed away on August 4, 2021, at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born April 19, 1979, in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Nate was a caregiver in many ways and worked 10 years as a paramedic and more recently as an oncology nurse at Toledo Hospital. He loved his career and his night-shift crew of fellow nurses, who became some of his closest friends. Brilliantly creative and a self-proclaimed nerd, Nate wrote games, stories, and was skilled at miniature modeling and making crazy sock creatures he called poppets. He was an avid gamer, enjoying board and video games, and he loved to travel, especially to Disney World, where he met his favorite character, Stitch. He was a dedicated fur-parent and thought of himself as a “Crazy Cat Dad” to his beloved Pepper, Potts, and Cindy Lou, and he also adored his doggos, Page One and Ink Pot. Nate was a kind, honest, and incredibly genuine man, who would do anything to lift your spirits, saying he was, “Always good for a giggle.” Left to cherish his memory are his wife and partner of 14 years, Stephanie (née Williams) Beebe; daughter, Nora Beebe; parents, Donna and Gerald Beebe; brother, Jeremiah (Wendy) Beebe; grandmother, JoAn Beebe; niece, Grace Beebe; nephew, Aiden Beebe; and in-laws, Karen and Joseph Ackerman. His beloved feline friend, Jinx Taboo, preceded him in death so she might guide him on this next great adventure. A memorial service to remember and celebrate the gift of Nate’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021, in the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Avenue, Toledo, OH 43623 with a gathering to follow at 4:00 p.m. at Brickhouse Commons, 3535 N. Holland Sylvania Road, Toledo, OH 43615. Casual dress is required—Nate hated dressing up—and if you can, please wear his favorite color, green. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to the Lucas County Pit Crew, where Nate and Steph adopted four of their five fur-kids. You can do so online at http://PayPal.me/lucascountypitcrew or envelopes will be collected at the service.
