Nap Edward Nasser, 84, of Sylvania OH and a seasonal resident of Fort Myers, FL for more than 20 years, passed away Friday June 18, 2021, in Fort Myers. He was born June 19, 1936, in Toledo, OH to Edward and Jeanette Nasser, now deceased. Nap was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Joseph Parish in Sylvania OH. He went to Gesu Catholic School as a child. He attended Campion Jesuit High School, a Jesuit boarding school for boys in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin where he met and made lifelong friends. He continued his education at The University of Toledo graduating with a degree in accounting. He took the exam and became a Certified Public Accountant. He worked with a number of firms in Toledo, most notably being a partner with Kleinman, Feldman & Nathanson. When not at work, Nap enjoyed reading the Readers Digest while listening to a baseball game on the radio and watching golf on TV, all at the same time. He was an avid golfer, and a longtime member of Highland Meadows Golf Club. Nap and Donna eventually decided to become snowbirds and bought a condominium in Fort Myers, FL. in 2001. They were members of the Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club Community in Ft. Myers where they enjoyed golf, tennis and hanging with their friends. Nap was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2012. He was a boxer in his early days and used that ‘fight’ to overcome the disease and continue his retirement life for many years. Nap was proceeded in death by his beloved wife of 64 years, Donna J. Nasser, daughter Denise R. Wright; brothers, Ron and Edward; brothers-in-law, Raymond Jr., Bernard, infant William; sisters-in-law Linda Mustafaga, Shirley Mustafaga. Nap is survived by two loving daughters, Christine Marti (Don) of Greensboro NC., and Connie Root (Richard) of Metamora OH; six grandchildren, Nick, Joshua, Meredeth, Amanda, Megan and Ryan; as well as nine great grandchildren, Ethan, Addison, Lariah, Jude (Bubba), Maverick (Bull), Sway, Malakai, Riley and Ella. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Thursday, July 1 from 2-8 pm where a prayer service will be held at 7 pm. Graveside services will be held Friday, July 2 at 10:30 AM. Those wishing to attend can meet at the funeral home at 10:15 am on Friday to process to Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to The Shriners or The Victory Center of Toledo.
