Naomi E. Scott, 94, formerly of Walbridge, died Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Elizabeth Scott center surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Warren Township, Indiana to Ervin (Gladys Baker) Spath on March 26, 1924. She served in the WAVES (Womens Auxilary Volunteer Enlistment Service) with the United States Navy. She was a Unit Clerk in Customer Service for 20 years with the former Blue Cross Blue Shield, retiring in 1986. Naomi married Harold F. Scott on September 13, 1945 and he preceded her in death. Naomi was an active member of the Northeast Wood County Senior Citizens, a member at Mainstreet Church, and served as a Sunday School teacher for Scripture Teachers. Surviving are her children; Joyce (Larry) Huffman, Larry (Janis) Scott, Loretta (Stephen) Kroehler, Gloria (Wesley) Green, twelve grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Cleo Hippensteel. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Bowden; son, George Scott; and siblings, Erma Meyer; Ruth Shoemaker, and Edna Taylor. Friends will be received on Saturday, June 16, 2018 beginning at 12:00 Noon at Mainstreet Church, 5465 Moline Martin Road, Walbridge, Ohio 43465, where a Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Burial will be on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 12:00 Noon in Mt. Vernon, Ohio at Ebenezer Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mainstreet Church Building Fund.
