Nancy J. Verbon

Verbon Nancy J. Nancy J. Verbon, born July 22, 1932 to Irene and Raynor Pyle died and rose to Gods arms with her devoted family around her on Friday, March 20, 2009. Nancy grew up in Toledo and graduated from Devilbiss High School. She was as many would describe her, a spit fire. Nancy had a friendly word for everyone and loved to tell or hear a joke. At one time she lived in Florida for 20 years, but moved back in 1990 to be closer to family. Making decorated sweaters was one of her greatest pastimes. She had one big room designated just to hold the many shirts she designed. Each one was different and unique. Her spirit was contagious and if you were lucky enough to know her, you were blessed. She also had a passion for playing cards and gambling. It was not uncommon for her get in her car with friends and drive up to the casinos. Nancy has two children, Cindy Verbon-Cowell and Lonnie Verbon; grandchildren; Jon, Josh, and Julie Cowell, Corey Verbon, Kevin Bowers and Melanie Bowers; 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Johnny, Jack, Bob, and Betty. We will miss her with much passion. Good bye mom until we meet again. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2-7PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd. where services will be held Tuesday at 7:00 PM.
