Nancy Marie Pietrowski, 74, of Clay Center, Ohio, died Thursday, December 25, 2014 in the Genoa Retirement Village, Genoa, Ohio. Nancy was born in Clay Center on July 10, 1940 to Julius and Frances (Zunk) Troknya on April 14, 1979 she married Felix T. Pietrowski in the Clay Center Presbyterian Church. Felix preceded her in death on June 13, 2013. Nancy was a nurses aid at the Luther Home of Mercy for a number of years and loved to take care of people. She cared for many friends and relative in the Clay Center area over lifetime. She was a member of Christ Community Church in Genoa, and in her spare time she enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, and crocheting. Nancy also enjoyed working at the polls on Election Day. She was known as a loving and caring mother who was devoted to others needs. She will be missed but fondly remembered. Survivors include her children, Annette Pietrowski, Patricia Ammann, Judith Wendt, Carolyn Piotrowski, Ronald (Connie) Piotrowski, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister, Jeannette (Paul) Snider and brothers, Bob (Vaughn) Troknya and Edward (Kathy) Troknya. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant son, Terrance Piotrowski, grandson, Bradley Galliger and granddaughter Tracy Piotrowski. A funeral service will conducted at 11 AM, Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, 501 West St., Genoa, OH. Visitation will be from 2-4 6-8 PM on Sunday, December 28, 2014 in the funeral home. Interment will be in the Clay Township Cemetery, Genoa. It is suggested that memorials for Nancy, be directed to the family. Nancys family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to the staff at Genoa Retirement Village for their wonderful care and compassion while she was a resident there.
