Nancy Jeschka Peake

Nancy Jeschka Peake, age 89, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Ridgewood Manor where she was a resident for the last three years. The daughter of Edward and Myrtle Jeschka, she was born June 25, 1920 in Toledo. She attended DeVilbiss High School, and later married her hiking club sweetheart Jim on February 5, 1949. Nancy was a longtime member of Collingwood Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Womens Guild. She was a member of the Whittier Elementary School Mothers Club and the PTA. Nancy was an active participant in the First Mates Club of Maumee Valley Chapter of SPEBSQSA Barbershop Society and volunteered at The Toledo Hospital. Nancy was a wonderful mother, an affectionate grandmother and a loving wife who was always very supportive of all her husbands activities. Nancy is survived by her husband, James; children, Steven Karen Peake, Jeffery Carol Peake, Linda Roger Wilkins, Laura Kevin Dale; grandchildren, Jamie Renee Wilkins, Greg Robyn Wilkins, Lindsay Aaron Koontz, Sarah Mark Strausbaugh, Heather Dan Seal, Daniel Britnye Peake, Rachel Peake, Megan Peake fianc, Jacoby Whitacre and Eric Dale; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Martin. Friends may visit the family on Friday from 3-8 PM at the Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. west of Corey Rd where services will be held on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
