Nancy Macpherson

Nancy Jane MacPherson, age 91, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on January 27, 2023, at Toledo Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Nancy was a 1949 Whitmer High School graduate and in her working years, she worked for Metzger’s Produce, from 1976 to 1993, before her retirement. She was a longtime member of the Rosewood/Fairgreen Presbyterian Church and was on the memorial committee. Nancy had an outgoing and spontaneous personality. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, reading cookbooks, cooking, and going to the Hollywood Casino, to try her fortune on the slots. In her down time, Nancy liked watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and soap operas, especially Bold and the beautiful, and Young and the Restless. Nancy took great pride in being a well put together woman. She was always friendly and had the ability to make friends very quickly and easily. She was a pleasure to be around and enjoyed hosting parties and holiday get togethers. Spending time with her close family and friends was most meaningful to her in life. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Nancy was born on October 28, 1931, the daughter of Harold and Doris (Crum) Billheimer. Nancy married John MacPherson, in July of 1961, and the two enjoyed 61 ½ years of beautiful and devoted marriage together.

Left to cherish Nancy’s memory include her loving husband, John; her two sons, Greg, and Scott; two grandchildren, Lisa, and Damien; five great-grandchildren, Bryce, Brayland, Alyssa, Blake, and Bently; sister-in-law, Margaret (Jim). Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Harold, and Doris; and brother, Bill.

In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, graveside services will be held privately at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
