Nancy C. Kubasek

Nancy C. Kubasek, 83, of Oregon, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. She was born a coal miner’s daughter in Long Branch, West Virginia to Roby and Iva (Underwood) Billings on January 9, 1937. Nancy graduated from Pax High School. She married her husband, Joseph V. Kubasek, and they spent 50 wonderful years together before his passing in 2009. Nancy worked at Mercy St. Vincent Hospital in the dietary department for many years. She was a longtime member of Salem United Methodist Church where she attended with her granddaughter. Nancy also enjoyed playing bingo, going on casino trips, quilting, and embroidering. Nancy is survived by her children, Nancy K. Kubasek (Spouse, M. Neil Browne), Susan Kubasek, Joseph Kubasek; granddaughter, Lauren Kubasek (Spouse, Andrew Kubasek); sister, Alice Holden; and seven great-grand fur babies. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, August 28, 2020 at 12 Noon at Willow Cemetery, 1961 Pickle Road, Oregon. Those attending are asked to socially distance and wear a facemask. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to The Cat House (Port Clinton, OH) animal shelter or to Paws & Whiskers Cat Shelter.
