Nancy Sue Hiser

Nancy Sue Hiser, age 71, of Toledo, died May 2, 2016 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born July 12, 1944 in Toledo and graduated from Whitmer High School in 1962. Nancy married Robert Hiser on August 25, 1962 and he lovingly survives. Also surviving are her children, Kristine Hiser-Rife of Austin, TX and Randy Hiser of Monclova; two beloved grandchildren, Brandon and Paige Rife; brother, John Simpson; sisters, Darla (Craig Vance) Ritchie and Kathy (Steve) Moyer; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Wilhelm; mother and step father, Mary and John Simpson. Nancy was a homemaker and a very devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed traveling, especially to South Texas to visit her grandchildren, and doing jigsaw puzzles. Nancy had a vibrant, loving personality and was always concerned with and empathetic to the needs of others. She will be sadly missed. Memorial services will take place at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Toledo Memorial Park, 6382 Monroe St., Sylvania, where the family will receive guests beginning at 1:00 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, 4331 Keystone Dr, Maumee, OH 43537.
