Nancy A. Bodi Herkimer

Nancy A. Bodi Herkimer, 76, of Millbury, Ohio, died Tuesday evening, November 18, 2008, in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, Ohio. Nancy was born February 13, 1932, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Gilbert and Viola Rohloff Bodi. On July17, 1979, in Toledo she married Wayne E. Herkimer and he survives. Nancy worked in clerical at Maumee Malleable Casting Co. in Toledo, for Jay L. Angel in Toledo, and St. Vincents Hospital. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Northwood and enjoyed gardening, plants, boating and camping. Nancy especially loved and enjoyed her grandchildren. Nancy will be greatly missed by her husband of over 29 years, her step children, Scott Dawn, Kent, Holly Jim Coen, her grandchildren, Kristen and Justin Coen and Christopher and Megan Herkimer; her lunch bunch, which included those seven adopted Hampton sisters, Ruthie, Dotti, Mert, Judi, Joyce, Shirley, and Helen; plus lifelong friends, Fritzi, Joannie and Delores, her Uncle Nelson and Aunt Bert, plus many cousins; and last but not least, her many Waite High School classmates. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa, where the funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 22, 2008. Interment will follow in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown. In lieu of flowers, Nancy and Wayne asked that you make a memorial donation to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Their home care nurses and staff at their Perrysburg center went out of their way to care for Nancy.
