Nancy C. Demars

Nancy C. DeMars, age 81 of Toledo, passed away Monday, July 28, 2014 in the Toledo Hospital.  She was born December 14, 1932 to Clarence and Carlene Foels.  Nancy was a 1950 graduate of Whitmer High School and married Edward Dale DeMars on November 22, 1952.  She was a cost accountant at Dana Corporation for over 20 years retiring in 1992.  Nancy volunteered at the Eleanor Kahle Senior Center and baked cookies every Thursday for the Lutheran Home on Wheeling.  She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church and served on multiple boards there. The widow of Edward Dale DeMars, Nancy was also preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her children, Tom (Debra) DeMars, Susan DeMars, Wendy (Paul) Zaciewski, and Tammy (Daryl) Ray; grandchildren, Thad, Tiffany, Christian, Brandon, Alex, Brady, Taylor, and Maddie; great-granddaughter, Jaclynn; and brothers, James (Sharry) Foels, Melvin (Dawn) Foels, and Larry (Janet) Foels. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the CCU nurses at the Toledo Hospital for the kindness and compassionate care they gave to our mother and family. Visitation will be Thursday, July 31, 2014 from 4-9:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey Rd.) and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 4441 Monroe St. Toledo, OH 43613.  Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or to Eleanor Kahle Senior Center, 1315 Hillcrest Ave. Toledo, OH 43612.  Online condolences may be shared at walkerfuneralhomes.com.
