Nancy E. Brunner, age 62, passed away December 5, 2018 after a long struggle with dementia at the Ebied Hospice of Sylvania, Ohio. She was born, December 17, 1955 in St. Louis, MO. She received a Bachelors of Science in Physical Therapy from St Louis University in 1978, where she met her husband, a native of Toledo. She was a Physical Therapist in St. Louis, Michigan and Ohio. In recent years she worked at the Endocrine and Diabetes Care Center. She was a member of the Toledo Area Miniature Enthusiast (Association). Nancy was a proud, dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved laughing at good jokes, seeing movies, and reading novels. She was immensely passionate about her King Charles Cavalier Spaniels, Cricket, Margaret Thatcher (aka Maggie), and Emma. Nancy and her husband Jack enjoyed sailing out of the Sandusky Yacht Club with family and friends. Her favorite trips were extended summer cruises to Maciknaw Island, Harbor Springs, Petosky, and Charlevoix. The family would like to thank the multitude of “angels” in her life that helped her, loved her, sat with her, showed her kindness, and cared for her during her long difficult struggle with dementia. She is survived by her husband, John E. Jack Brunner M.D.; children, John F. Jack (Susan) Brunner M.D., Katherine E. (Jacob) Sandvik, Michael C. Brunner; grandchildren, Daniel and Jacqueline Sandvik. She was preceded in death by her parents William Wallace Evans, and Theodora Cofer Evans and brother, John Evans. The family will receive friends from on Saturday December 8, 2018 from 3-6 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave (west of Corey Rd) with a memorial service at 5:30 p.m. Memorials may be made to Memory Lane Care services/ Alzheimers and Dementia Care Services 2500 N.
