Nancy J Behrendt

Nancy Jean Behrendt age 72, of Perrysburg, Ohio - formerly of Vermilion, Ohio - passed away on Friday, July 11, 2008 surrounded by family. She was born on July 24, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio and was raised in the Cleveland area before settling down with her family in Vermilion. For 25 years, she was a clerk/librarian in the Vermilion school system. She retired from Sailorway Middle School in 1997. Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed music, crafts, books, boating, and time at the beach. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. Nancy is survived by her children, Robert Peggy Behrendt, Bonnie Tom Zellers, and Bradley Lisa Behrendt; and her grandchildren, Rob Liz, Becky, Matthew, Melissa, Christopher, and Adam. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Hartland; her brother, Larry Hartland; and her husband William Behrendt. Visitation hours will be on Monday, July 14th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Maison- Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant Street, Maumee, Ohio. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 15th at 11:00 am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a book donation can be made in memory of Nancy to your local library or school.
