Nan S. Lemon, 89, of Port Clinton, OH passed away peacefully Thursday, September 13, 2018 at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo. She was born on January 15, 1929 in Port Clinton to Frank O. and Ruth (Wills) Richey. Nan graduated from Port Clinton High School in 1947 and played in the band 4 years. On October 18, 1948 in Port Clinton she married her high school sweet heart, Robert L. Lemon, and he preceded her in death on December 27, 1997. Nan previously worked as secretary for the Selective Service in Sandusky, OH. She was a longtime member and organist for 50 years at the Gypsum Community Church. Nan enjoyed needle pointing, her flower garden, and the Gaithers Gospel Band. She most enjoyed being a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother. Nan is survived by her children, Nancy (Jerry) Marek, Robert T. (May) Lemon, Jean (Russ) Good, David (Pat) Lemon, and Rebecca “Becky” (Mike) Madureira, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Park E. Richey, and sister, Gail Robinson. Per Nan’s wishes, cremation will take place under the direct care of the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Oak Harbor. A Celebration of Life for Nan will be conducted 10:00 a.m., Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Gypsum Community Church, Gypsum, OH. Memorial contributions in memory of Nan may be given to the Gypsum Community Church or the Safe Harbor Animal Shelter.
