Morris Lemuel Collier Jr was born on February 27, 1935 in Waynesboro, Tennessee. He was the only child born from the union of the late Morris L. Sr and the late Alta (Moore) Collier. As a young man, Morris moved with his family to Toledo, he attended Waite High School where he graduated with the class of 1955. He later furthered his education at the University of Toledo. Morris married his high school sweetheart, the former Martha L. O’Neill on November 27, 1956 at St. Syril & Methodius Catholic Church in Rossford and from this union came the birth of three children. Morris later enlisted into the United States Army, where he served his country honorably obtaining the rank of private first class. Morris worked hard to support his family, making sure that their every need was met. For more than forty-two years, he was employed by CSX, Walbridge where he worked as an engineer. His hard work paid off, making it so that his bride could stay home to care for their children and educate them through private schools. Morris always kept a watchful eye over his family, he valued the time spent with family especially his grandchildren. He had a charismatic personality, funny and a stranger to no one. In his free time Morris enjoyed sports, he could often be found out golfing or watching a Detroit Tigers or Notre Dame game on TV. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, often working in the yard and taking long walks in the park. Morris was a great father, grandfather and husband.
