Morris Applegate

Morris Bud E. Applegate, Jr., 74, of Holland, Ohio passed away on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 6, 1938 to Morris, Sr. and Florence E. Wittman Applegate. Bud worked in retail as a visual merchandiser, where he worked for the Mens Warehouse, B.R. Baker, Richmond Brothers, and J.C. Penny. He was the founder of the Springfield Strutters, where he was a past director. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping, running, fishing, was collector of music, especially Jazz, and was a avid Ohio State fan. Bud is survived by his wife Sharon Cindy, son, David Applegate, daughter, Tamara Richard Hawkins, mother, Florence, 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brothers, Jim Carolyn Applegate and Stanley Applegate, sisters, Diann Dick Jackson and Joyce Poffenbaugh. He was preceded in death by his father, and grandson Christopher David. Visitation for Bud will be on Friday September 28, 2012 from 4:00 -8:00 p.m. at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St. Maumee, Ohio 43537. Funeral services will be on Saturday September 29, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Maumee, Ohio.
