Morgan Henry Rodgers

Morgan H. Rodgers, 90 years, of Curtice, OH passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Orchard Villa. He was born on April 21, 1925 to Henry and Rosa (Strickland) Rodgers in Toledo, OH. Morgan was an Iron Worker with the Local 55 for many years. He loved the Atlanta Braves, dogs, fishing, and going to McDonalds for coffee and to chat with his friends. Most of all Morgan loved his family and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, he always made it to every ball game to cheer his loudest. He also never missed family dinner at his daughter Pam and son-in-law Ray’s home. He was the life of the party with his one-liners, singing, and dancing. Morgan is preceded in death by his parents; oldest son, Jerry Rodgers; and his daughter, Kimberly Crosby. Left to cherish his memory are his children, Debbie Parks, Pam (Ray) St. John, Nancy Blue; grandchildren, Shellcey Bailey, Shasta (Bert) Seibert, Heather (Victor) Rettig, Jennifer (Lamont) St. John, Jessica (DJ) Ballash, Ray St. John II, Josh (Nichole) St. John, Jonathan Blue, Autumn Blue; great grandchildren, Skylyr, Shaylynn, Kayla, Jared, Jacob, Hayley, Jocelynne, Nevaeh, Laila, Lia, Miah, Aiden, Ray St. John III, a great grandchild due in June, and another due in September; and his brother, Edwin. Visitation will be held at Hoeflinger-Bolander Funeral Home, 3500 Navarre Avenue, Oregon, OH on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Morgan’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg for the care and compassion they showed in taking care of Morgan. Memorial Contributions can be made in Morgan’s name to the Humane Society.
