Monty Doc Harman, age 76, of Swanton, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 30, 2011. He was born on March 26, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to Anna Grace Gonyer and Sage Harman. Doc worked as a stationary engineer at Chrysler Jeep for 24 years retiring in 1987. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of NRA and the Progressive Fishing Association in Whitehouse. Doc is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Lou Lawniczak Harman; daughter, Theresa Paredes; son, Gary Cheryl Harman; grandchildren, Chad, Jeremy Nancy, Nichole Zack, Joshua Kimberly, and Gary II; and great-grandchildren, Shia and Cyrus. He was preceded in death by his three brothers and six sisters. Visitation will be at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., west of Corey Rd. on Friday from 2 pm until the time of the service at 7 pm. The family will host an open house at the Harman Family Home in Swanton on Saturday from1 to 4 pm.
