Mirvel D. Tack, 87, of Port Clinton, formerly of Oak Harbor, died Thursday afternoon, November 5, 2015, at Stein Hospice in Sandusky. Mirvel was born February 15, 1928, in Oak Harbor to Charles D. and Iva L. (Humphrey) Lieske. She married Lloyd Joe E. Tack on May 29, 1948, in Port Clinton, and he preceded her in death July 17, 1996. Mirvel graduated from Oak Harbor High School and was a member of LaPointe United Methodist Church in Port Clinton. She and her husband, Lloyd, were owners and operators of Tack Ford Tractor Sales and Tack Sales Service both in Oak Harbor for many years. Mirvel had also worked various jobs until the age of 78. She was a member of the NARFE, the Red Hats, a flower club, the Oak Harbor VFW Auxiliary, and enjoyed traveling. Mirvel is survived by her children, Daniel (Cheryl) L. Tack, Ralph (Mary) W. Tack, Lenora (Dennis) R. Hennen, and Lloyd (Kristen) T. Tack; her grandchildren: Shane (Brandi) Overmyer, Daniel (Kristy) Tack, Jr., Joseph (Jessica) Tack, Steven (Katie) Tack, Timothy (Sonia) Tack, Jonathan (Charisma) Tack, Rosanna (Nathan) Galbreath, Heath Hennen, Lance (Colleen) Hennen, Shelly (Brian) Schultz, Jackie (Joe) Kirby, Jaime (Jim) Lang, Thomas (Jennifer) Tack, and Katelyn Tack; and 33 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Erma Peters, Delite Fahl, Ilene Porter, and brother, Ruel Lieske. The family would like to thank her close friends, Richard and Dorothy Walker, niece, Regina Peters, and sister-in-law, Leila Sis Tack. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Cynthia J. (James) Overmyer, grandson, Bill Tack, great granddaughter, Alexandra Overmyer, sister, Alyce Skinner, and brothers, Julius and Charles Lieske. The family would like to especially thank the staff at the Ottawa County Health Department Stein Hospice. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Sunday, November 8, 2015, at Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 165 E. Water St., Oak Harbor. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 9, 2015, at LaPointe United Methodist Church with burial to follow in Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. The family has suggested memorials for Mirvel to be directed to LaPointe United Methodist Church, 7285 W. Harbor Rd., Port Clinton, OH 43452; or Stein Hospice, 1200 Sycamore Line Rd., Sandusky, OH 44870.
