Miriam E. Querry

Miriam E. Querry age 96 of Maumee passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2011 at St. Lukes Hospital. Miriam was born in Bluffton, IN on February 23, 1915 to Levi and Helen Hettesheimer Linn. Miriam was employed at Haughton Elevator and retired from Owens Illinois. She was a member of Kappa Tau Beta Sorority and Zion Methodist Church, Toledo. She was a happy independent woman that enjoyed life. Miriam loved to play bingo at the Maumee Senior Center and bowled until she was in her 90s. She also loved to bake was known as the Cookie Grandma Miriam was married to the love of her life, William J. Querry who died in 1964. She raised two children, Carol Querry of Park City, Utah and James Janet Querry of Maumee. Also surviving is grandson, Bill of Portland, Maine; 3 step-grandchildren, Brian, Laura and Diana; and brother, Max Jane Linn of Delta, OH. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Lucille and brother, Dale. Friends and family will be received at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home 501 Conant St. Maumee on Thursday September 8, 2011 from 3-8 pm where funeral services will he held on Friday at 10:00 am.
