Millard L. Mid Dupler

Millard Mid Dupler, 71, of Oak Harbor, Ohio died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at his residence after a sudden illness. He was born in Toledo, OH on October 28, 1942 to Millard S. and Edith E. Kohn Dupler. Mid married Leona M. Bloomfield in Rossford, OH on July 26, 1984. Mid started his railroad career as a fireman with the B O and then the C O Railroads. He was promoted to engineer with the CSX Railroad, and retired after 42 years of railroad service in 2002. Mid was a man of many talents. He re-built his home, enjoyed doing auto body repair and helping his friends and neighbors. He liked working outdoors and could often be found mowing his neighbors grass and in the winter, plowing their snow. He liked animals, running around on his ATV, and whittling. Of all the things he did he most loved to spend time with his grandchildren. They were the closest thing to his heart and they all could be found having fun in the backyard! Surviving Mid are his wife, Leona, son, Paul Laurie Dupler, daughter, Tonna Palmer, step-children, Rick Tonia Brown, Tim Sarah Brown, grandchildren, Paul Jr., Dani, Jacki, Brandea, Dustin, Calvin, Keith, Ricky, Alex, Logan, Brooke, Konnor, and Cassidy, 6 Great-grandchildren, sister, Karren Smith, and his uncle, Chris Janis Kohn. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Gary Dupler, and cousin, Chris Lee Kohn. Visitation for Mid will be from 1-5 PM, Friday, January 3, 2013 in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home Crematory, 501 West St., Genoa, OH 43430. A memorial service will be conducted at 5 PM, immediately following the visitation. It is suggested that memorial contributions be directed to the Family.
