Mildred Joan Ruetz

Mildred Joan Ruetz, 76, of Genoa, Ohio, died Wednesday evening, June 18, 2008, in the Genoa Retirement Village. Joan was born January 6, 1932, in Bryan, Ohio, to Lawrence and Edna Summey Watson. On January 6, 1953, in Angola, Indiana, she married Walter E. Ruetz and he preceded her in death November 17, 2002. Joan had worked in a greenhouse but was also a homemaker. She enjoyed quilting, playing Bingo, square dancing, and traveling with her husband. Joan is survived by her daughters, Karen David Henninger of Curtice and Mary Bell of Sylvania, her son, Larry Roxanne Ruetz of Sylvania, and seven grandchildren. Her parents, husband and brother, Kenneth Watson, preceded her in death. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m., Friday, June 20, 2008, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home and Crematory, Genoa, with the family present 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 21, 2008, in the funeral home with burial to follow in Shiffler-Jefferson Township Cemetery, Bryan Ohio. In memory of Mildred, the family suggests contributions to the VFW Post #2489 in Bryan or to the donors choice.
