Mildred Helen Reitz, 65, born to Wayne and Myrtle (Massengill) Burris of Lake City, Tennessee died September 28, 2017 in her home. She came to live in Toledo, Ohio in 1974. She served as a Line Leader at Jac Products until they closed their doors on April 29, 2009. Her strength helped her to survive Rheumatoid Arthritis (whom she called her husband Authur) for 27 years. She would always joke and ask Authur for a divorce. Her long battle for the divorce has finally ended. Despite the pain Authur gave her, she always held it in and shined a light on everyone she met. Family, friends, doctors and anyone she met, enjoyed her smile, her southern accent and her good natured qualities. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wayne and Myrtle Burris; sisters, Joyce King and Dorothy Dottie (King) Cox; brother, Bailey Burris; and son, Roger Reitz. Surviving are her daughters, Candi (Louis) Morales, Joanna Jody Robertson and Enhelika Reitz; son, James Reitz (Tanisha Smith); grandchildren, Ashley Bonds, Cory Robertson, Austin Burris, Sabrina Robertson, Mariah Reitz, Hailey Ruiz, James Reitz Jr., Toni Smith, Lance Smith and Levi Reitz; great-grandchildren, Nathan Jr., Destanie, Catelynn, Alex, and Azaiah; brothers, Bobby (Ruby), Carl (Jeanie) and Sam (Porsha) Burris; sisters, Linda (Ron) Cameron and Brenda Moles; and nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Walker Funeral Home, 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey) on Monday after 10 a.m. where funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. Entombment will be in Toledo Memorial Park. The family suggests memorials to the Arthritis Foundation or ProMedica Hospice. Condolences may be sent to the family at walkerfuneralhomes.com
