Mildred M. Lind, 88, of Genoa, died Thursday, April 2, 2009, in the Genoa Retirement Village. She was born August 19, 1920, in Martin, Ohio, to Fred and Anna Haack Epling and was a 1938 graduate of Elmore High School. On February 14, 1960, in Iowa, she married Eldon A. Lind, who preceded her in death March 4, 2003. Mildred was a beautician for many years in East Toledo and was a lifetime member of Zion United Methodist Church in Elliston. She and Eldon spent many years in Lady Lake, Florida. She enjoyed traveling and camping, playing cards and the marble game, Aggrevation. Her survivors include step son, Keith Lind of Bowling Green, Kentucky, nieces and nephews, Jane Donald Chime, Glen Paula, deceased Boss, Albert Wynonia Boss, and Frank June, deceased Grahl, and sister-in-law, Elna Calvin Damschroeder. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Ervin Mary Epling, sister, Agnes Albert Boss, and sister-in-law, Vendela Combs. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Sunday, April 5, 2009, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory, Genoa. The funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 6, 2009, in Zion United Methodist Church, Elliston, with interment to follow in Elliston Cemetery, Graytown. Memorials may be directed to Zion United Methodist Church Memorial Fund or the donors choice. The family would like to thank the Genoa Retirement Village, Station 3, for the care given to Mildred.
