Mildred M. Jackson

Mildred M. Jackson, 89, formerly of Genoa, died early Wednesday morning, August 29, 2007, in Arbors of Oregon, Oregon, Ohio. Mildred was born April 8, 1918, in Hudson, MI, to William and Francis Burns Haley. On February 17, 1937, in Hudson, she married Kenneth H. Jackson and he preceded her in death December 19, 1988. For many years she worked at the Ambassador Motor Lodge retiring in 1987. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Genoa as well as the Altar Rosary Society and the Study Club. She also sang in the choir.Mildred is survived by her daughters, Ann L. Charles Froning of Coldwater, OH, Barbara F. John Klein of Wilton, CT, and Margaret John Watterworth of Oregon, OH, sons, Donald K. Carol Jackson of Dayton, OH, and Charles W. Deanna Jackson of Franklin, OH; ten grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Greta Harkins of Jackson, MI, and her brother, Joseph Haley of Hudson, MI. Her parents, husband, infant son, and brother, John Haley preceded her in death.Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007, in the Robinson-Walker Funeral Home, Genoa. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2007, in Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Genoa, with interment to follow in Clay Township Cemetery. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Arbors of Oregon and Heartland Hospice for the special care given to Mildred.
