Mildred Millie Glass passed away Sunday, July 29 at her residence at West Park Place. She was born Mildred Louise Nash on October 18, 1920, in Xenia, Ohio, to Carl and Sylvia Middleton Nash. Later the family moved to Toledo and Millie graduated from Scott High School. She worked for many years at Champion Spark Plugs. When Champion left Toledo, she began working at LaSalles & Koch in the downtown store. Millie was a familiar sight in the main aisle behind the jewelry counter. She was there for many years and still maintained friendships with fellow coworkers. Upon retirement she joined Fred to travel and enjoy their many hobbies. They were also long time members of Bay View Yacht Club sailing the family boat for many summers with Freds brother Bill Glass and wife Mildred. Millie was an avid gardener and her roses turned her yard into a heavenly scented wonder to see and experience. She gave her home the same perfectionist touch being well known for her talents with the home arts. Being invited for one of her dinners was a very special treat.She loved her dogs and treated them with the care one gives to a family member. Her life was full of friends and family and caring for all. Her laughter filled a room and she was the first to laugh at all the jokes. She was a great sport in accepting the teasing her family gave her about being late even to her own dinner parties. Millie and Fred were lifelong North End and Point Place residents before moving to Senior Star Living at West Park Place in 2005.
