Mildred Diefenthaler passed away at Harborside of Perrysburg, Saturday, August 9, 2008, at the age of 97 with family and friends at her side. She is now enjoying eternal life with her heavenly Father and has been reunited with her husband, Paul. Mildred was born May 22, 1911, in Genoa, Ohio, to Otto and Christina Brossia Hahn. On August 22, 1931, she married Paul Diefenthaler. She was a 1928 graduate of Lake High School and a 1930 graduate of Tri-State Business College. Since 1931 she had been a member of St. Peters United Church of Christ in Millbury, where she served as the financial secretary and secretary of the churchs council. . Mildred was a devoted housewife to her husband and son. The great grandchildren lovingly called her G.G. She is survived by her son, Wade Priscilla Diefenthaler; five grandchildren, Katie Boss-Wrightington, Laurie Scott Hahnlen, Leslie Hagdohl, John Harrison, and Paige Joe Robinson; 11 great grandchildren, Nikki and Daniel Boss, Lindsey McCance, Samantha Hahnlen, Emily, Zac and Noah Hagdohl, Devon, Dawson, Alexandria and Delani Robinson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Norman Melba Hahn and Alvin Doris Hahn, and sister, Alma Charles McKelvey. The funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13, 2008, in St. Peters United Church of Christ, Millbury, with visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery, Millbury. The family requests memorials to St. Peters United Church of Christ, Millbury, or Toledo Christian School, 2303 Brookford Dr., Toledo, OH 43614. The Robinson-Walker Funeral Home & Crematory in Genoa has assisted the family with arrangements. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Harborside for their loving care.
